SHAMANIC HEALING

Shamanic healing occurs when the shamanic practitioner or healer connects with their spirits, acting as a channel between them and the person to be treated. The fundamental aim of this type of healing is to connect the person with their own personal power. When we are connected, strong and centered, we are less likely to get sick. The healing sessions seek to restore all that power and provide tools so that the person being treated can cope with any condition.

Within a healing session, we work with different techniques which compliment each other and are always adapted to the needs of each person. Here are some of the techniques that we use;

Power animal retrieval

According to the shamanic worldview, each of us is already born with an animal spirit that has the function of accompanying and protecting us. However, due to the disconnection with the spiritual side in our society, we have been forgetting and disconnecting from this spirit, thus also losing part of our personal power.

When we regain the connection with our power animal, what we find in it is a greater protection in all aspects of our life. It also makes us more resistant to any type of infection: where there is power and strength, it is difficult for disease to enter.

The extraction of the illness

In shamanism, when we speak in terms of disease, we talk of localized spiritual intrusions. These intrusions are those energies that do not belong to our energy field and that weaken it or can create diseases for us.

Through the healing sessions, the shamanic practitioner

extracts these intrusions, removing everything that can

harm or weaken a person.

The psychopomp

When we speak of psychopomp, we speak of the work that is done with the souls that are no longer incarnate on this plane, with those who have already passed away or who are about to do so. Psychopomp shamans are those who help prepare the dying for their journey. They also take care of the souls that have already started the path after death.

There are times when the souls of the deceased can stay

close to us. This can occur due to different factors:

  • A sudden death.

  • Because things are pending.

  • Because the family does not allow the journey.

As this is not the place for these souls, it is the Shaman’s job to ensure they cross to where they should continue evolving, leaving both them and their family in peace.

Shamanic divination

Divination methods have been used since time immemorial by shamans (and non-shamans) of all cultures.

These methods can help at times when we need to know hidden truths, shed light on our path in times of darkness.

The shaman, through different methods of divination, connects

with his/hers spiritual aids to give guidance to the person who

needs it, thus giving the client the power to act with a greater knowledge of what is happening in their life, or what can happen based on their decision making.

Soul retrieval

There are moments throughout our lives in which, either by experiencing a very painful moment such as traumas, loss of loved ones, accidents, when we can lose part of our essence.

We call this loss of Soul.

When we suffer a loss of Soul, it can manifest itself in different ways. Some examples are:

  • You sense that something is not right.  You experience a certain emptiness.

  • Lack of presence. You feel that "you are not just there."

  • Addictions begin to appear.

  • You feel that something is missing.

In this case, the shaman's job is to fetch these “soul fragments”

and reconnect them with the person, thus restoring their

personal power again.

All these practices are used in a combined or individual way within the healing sessions, and always adapting to the person to be treated.
